Our Story
Piney Grove Storage is a family-owned business with roots in Colorado, where Jim grew up and where our family owns a storage facility. Kelly managed that facility from North Carolina for five years, giving us firsthand experience in the storage business and a passion for serving customers well.
We decided to build a facility of our own in the Fuquay-Varina area—one that would offer more options and be a place our community could be proud of.
Jim loves landscaping, development, and bringing a vision to life. Once he starts a project, he doesn't stop until it's complete. He put countless hours into making sure every detail of Piney Grove Storage and Baucom Business Plaza was done right.
Kelly manages both facilities and strives to make every customer's experience simple, convenient, and stress-free.
Piney Grove Storage on Rawls Road opened in November 2021, offering non-climate-controlled storage and trailer rentals.
Baucom Business Plaza opened in September 2025, expanding our offerings to include climate-controlled storage, enclosed, covered and open boat, RV and auto storage, 10x30 units with electric, and commercial flex space.
We are incredibly grateful for the support of Fuquay-Varina and the surrounding communities. We take pride in being local business owners and in providing clean, convenient, well-maintained facilities our customers can count on.
